Consultation
A psychological consultation is the opportunity to meet to understand what brings you to therapy, help clarify, identify and explore any difficulties you are having, consider what your goals are for therapy, and to consider if therapy is right for you and what type of therapy might be helpful. The consultation can last one session or potentially several, with the aim of clarifying what the challenges are that you are experiencing and what might help. A consultation may lead to therapy with myself, an onward referral to another practitioner, or act as a stand-alone piece of work.
Individual therapy
I offer individual psychological therapy on a weekly basis, lasting 50mins. Typically, this begins with a consultation and then, depending on your goals, we will contract to a specific set of sessions, with regular review slots, to work towards the goal.
Family sessions
I also offer family sessions which involves families, loved ones, or those within a person's social network to meet to identify challenges and work collaboratively towards a goal. Much like individual therapy, this begins with a consultation with those who wish to work together, a collaborative decision about goals/focus of the work, and then meeting weekly for 60min sessions.
Supervision
I also offer supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists, and other practitioner psychologists.
